The journal is scheduled twice a year, in June and December.

GOVIA welcomes studies of public institutions and governance at local, national, and international levels. Its scope includes public service delivery, policy design and evaluation, local government, institutional reform, digital governance, social inclusion, and sustainable development.

The journal considers empirical research, conceptual work, and policy studies that clearly explain their methods, contribution, and implications for scholarship or public practice. Issue details and publication identifiers will be added when officially available.
